WHY PERFORM THE QC:  This is an invalid condition not allowed or expected by the Biotics 5 interface. Furthermore, during the exchange of ELEMENT_OCCURRENCE (EO) from a local Network Program database to the central NatureServe database, an EO record is rejected if the EO and its related SOURCE_FEATURE are linked to different ELEMENT_SUBNATIONAL records. Running the QC and fixing records will reduce the number of rejected EO records.

WHAT THE QUERY DOES: This query finds EO and SOURCE_FEATURE records where the EO and SOURCE_FEATURE are linked, but the EO and the SOURCE_FEATURE are each on different ELEMENT_SUBNATIONAL records.

ACTION: The EO and SOURCE_FEATURE records will need to reviewed to determine the correct ELEMENT_SUBNATIONAL record. The source of the problem is either SQL that reparented the EO but not the SOURCE_FEATURE (or vice versa), or possibly a reparenting bug in Biotics 4; Biotics 5 does not allow this to happen. Fixing the data will need to be done using SQL because Biotics 5 does not have a tool to correct the problem.
