WEBINAR: Installing the Observations survey, modifying, publishing, administering

This is the first of a two part series. Today's session, which will  be accompanied by documentation, will demonstrate how you can create,  modify, publish and administer the Observations survey in your (ArcGIS  Online - AGOL) Organization's Survey123. This  will allow complete control over the survey and the data collected.

The second part of the series, to be held the following week, will  go demonstrate how to download the data from Survey123 and run the  toolbox which will prepare the data for Bulk Creating SFs & EOs in  Biotics.

These sessions will be recorded.

In order to be prepared to be able to publish your own survey:

  • From the  Survey123 for ArcGIS Resources site, download Survey123 Connect for your operating system.
  • Request the following specific privileges (or role), necessary for an AGOL user to publish a survey (according to the  Survey123 FAQ), from your AGOL Administrator:

What ArcGIS role do I need to have to use Survey123?

To publish a survey, the minimum privileges required are as follows:

  • Create content
  • Publish hosted web layers
  • Share maps and apps

Typically,  this would be a Publisher role, but you can also create a custom role  in your organization that contains only these privileges.
