The following error is received when trying to copy and paste a feature from a shapefile into Biotics 5. This is due to 'dirty' data - typically crossed vertices. You can determine this by saving the one feature to a shapefile (so it's the only shape within the shapefile) and then running the Multipart to Singlepart utility within ArcGIS on the shapefile. The result will be multiple shapes rather than the expected single shape. This illustrates the 'dirtiness'. You can either clean the data or just create it anew, but until it resolves into a single shape, it will undoubtedly not be workable in Biotics 5.
