We will be removing a series of columns and tables from program and central databases in our January sprint which will end in mid-January. Although we don’t believe there will be many instances that these tables are currently being utilized, we wanted to give programs enough time to prepare just in case you are using them.

The following are the tables to be removed:

Obsolete domain tables:
D_AREA_OF_OCCUPANCY
D_LIN_DIST_OF_OCCUPANCY
D_THREAT
D_THREAT_IMMEDIACY
D_THREAT_MATRIX
D_THREAT_SCOPE
D_THREAT_SEVERITY
D_MA_PRESENCE (and ELEMENT_MANAGED_AREA.D_MA_PRESENCE_ID column)
D_QB_DATABASE_FUNCTION
D_QB_DATE_FORMAT
[D_PLANT_PHEN_SEASON and D_ANIMAL_PHEN_SEASON will NOT be combined]

Obsolete domain table columns:
USFS_ECOREGION - USFS_ECOREGION_DESC (all null; column could be removed)

To delete the D_THREATx tables, the following fields need to be deleted from the ELEMENT_xx_RANK tables. They are an old data model with now-meaningless data and have been replaced by EL_xx_THREATS_ASSESS.

d_threat_id
d_threat_immediacy_id
d_threat_scope_id
d_threat_severity_id

Obsolete domain tables that only exist centrally:
D_ASSIGNED_THREAT_IMPACT
D_CALC_THREAT_IMPACT
D_LONG_TERM_TREND_NEW
D_SHORT_TERM_TREND_NEW
D_HCU (old temporary ecology data model)
D_HIERARCHY (old temporary ecology data model)
D_MACROGROUP (old temporary ecology data model)
D_LAND_TEMP_SE
D_PROJECT_CODE and TAXON_GLOBAL_OPT_FIELDS.D_PROJECT_CODE_ID column
D_DRAFT_IUCN
