Provide Your IP for Database Access (Whitelisting)
We’re moving to a new PostgreSQL/AWS database. To connect, your network needs to be whitelisted. Please send us either:
One public (static) IP address, or
A public IP range (if your company has one from your internet provider)
Option 1 — Send a single IP (fastest)
Be at the location you’ll connect from (office/home office). Turn off VPN first.
Click “What Is My IP Address?” and copy the IPv4 address (looks like
203.0.113.25
).Submit it to the Help Desk with the subject “IP Address – Single IP.”
If you work from multiple places, send one IP per location.
If the number on that page changes from day to day, it’s not static. Ask your internet provider for a static IP, or ask IT about using your company VPN.
Option 2 — Send an IP range (only if you know you have one)
If your company has a public static IP block, send us either of the following:
A) The block exactly as your ISP gave it to you (preferred)
Format example: 203.0.113.16/28
(they may call this a CIDR block)
OR
B) A screenshot of your router’s Internet/WAN page showing:
IP Address
Subnet Mask or Prefix Length (e.g.,
/29
,/28
)Gateway/Router (if shown)
We’ll figure out the exact range—no math needed on your side.
Don’t have access to the router or ISP email?
You may need to check with your IT department to get the range information if you don’t have access to the above.
How to find your WAN page (if you do have access):
Log into your router (often http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1).
Open Status, WAN, or Internet.
Screenshot the section with IP Address, Subnet/Prefix, and Gateway.
Submit it to the Help Desk with the subject “IP Address – Range.”
What not to send
Local/private addresses (start with
192.168.x.x
,10.x.x.x
, or172.16–31.x.x
). We need your public address/range.An IP while connected to a VPN (that gives us the VPN’s IP, not yours).
An IP from a mobile hotspot (these are usually not static).

) and gateway? Thank you!
FAQ
Can I send IPv6?
If your company uses IPv6, you can include the IPv6 address/prefix from your router’s WAN page. If you’re not sure, skip it.
We have multiple offices.
Send the public IP (or range) for each office that needs access.
I work from home and my IP changes.
Ask your ISP for a static IP or talk to IT about using the company VPN so we can allowlist that instead.
Is this safe to share?
Yes—sharing your public IP or block with our Help Desk is standard practice for database access.
Thanks! Once we add your IP or range, your database connection should work from that location.
